Competition Team Information

IF YOU ARE NEW TO AOD or are a CURRENT AOD STUDENT WHO HAS NEVER AUDITIONED AND/OR ARE NOT CURRENTLY ON AN AOD DANCE TEAM, THEN YOU WILL ATTEND THE AUDITION DAY BASED ON YOUR CURRENT AGE.

Both Auditions dates will be held at the AOD Studio.

Friday May 1st - CURRENT PETITE TEAM MEMBERS AND ANY DANCERS 11 & UNDER. ***Dancers under 5 MUST BE 5 years old by 1/1/2027***

TIME: 5P -6P 

• Arrive 15 minutes early to turn in audition paperwork. 
• Some dancers may be released at 5:45p and some may be asked to stay until 6:15p.
• Dress Code: Hair in neat bun, black leotard, tan tights. Bring Jazz and ballet shoes.

OR

Saturday May 2nd - CURRENT INTERMEDIATE & ADVANCED TEAM MEMBERS AND ANY DANCERS 12 & Up

Arrive 15 minutes early to turn in audition paperwork. 

• 11:15a - 12p - Warm Up
• 12p -12:15p - Audition Numbers distributed
• 12:15p - 2:30p - Dance Audition

Dress Code: Hair in neat bun, black leotard, black tights. Bring Jazz and Ballet shoes. Be prepared to dance barefoot.

STEP 1: 

VOCAL AUDITION - Submission DUE BY 4/29/26

A VOCAL audition MUST BE EMAILED to the AOD Thespian email PRIOR to the 4/30/26 in person dance audition. 

• Must be 60 seconds of a Broadway song that showcases your vocal range. No vocal tracks
• Email submission to aodthespianteam@gmail.com

STEP 2:

DANCE AUDITION THURSDAY APRIL 30TH - IN PERSON at the AOD Studio.

TIME: 6:15p -8:30p 

• 6:15p-6:30p - paperwork and audition numbers 
• 6:30p - 8:30p - TAP & JAZZ audition

Dress Code: Hair in neat bun, black leotard, tan tights or black leggings. Bring Tap and jazz shoes
